A peaceful place to belong, explore, and grow.
Apricot Hill Play School offers small, relationship-centered care for infants through preschool, with occasional drop-in care for school-age children. Our days are shaped by play, connection, nature, stories, meaningful work, and a gentle rhythm that gives children time to be fully present in childhood.
Monday–Friday • 8:15 a.m.–4:15 p.m. • St. Louis, Missouri

Welcome to Apricot Hill
Choosing someone to care for your child is one of the most meaningful decisions a family can make. Children deserve a place where they are safe, known, respected, and free to grow without being rushed.
Apricot Hill is intentionally small. In our home-like environment, children build genuine relationships across ages, take part in the everyday work of community life, spend time outdoors, listen to stories, create, move, rest, wonder, and experience the satisfaction of doing things for themselves.
What Makes Apricot Hill Different
Small by design: A small group allows every child’s personality, interests, needs, and joys to become truly known.
Relationships before compliance: We see behavior as communication and guide children with dignity, patience, and connection.
A gentle daily rhythm: Children have time for deep play, movement, conversation, outdoor exploration, meals, rest, and meaningful work.
Mixed-age community: Younger children learn through observation, while older children discover confidence, leadership, and empathy.
Families as partners: Parents and caregivers know their children best. Open, thoughtful communication is central to our work together.
A Childhood Filled with Peace, Joy, Wonder, and Belonging
We hope children leave Apricot Hill with dirty shoes, full hearts, new questions, and stories they are eager to tell when they get home.
