What ages do you serve?
Apricot Hill primarily serves infants through preschool-age children. Occasional drop-in care may be available for school-age children, depending on space and the needs of the group.
What are your hours?
Apricot Hill is open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
What enrollment options are available?
Apricot Hill offers full-time, part-time, and occasional drop-in care, depending on availability. Part-time schedules are based on reserved days rather than week-to-week attendance.
How much is tuition?
Full-time tuition is $400 per week. Part-time care is $100 per scheduled day. Tuition is due each Friday for the upcoming week and is based on the child’s reserved schedule rather than attendance.
Are meals provided?
Families provide lunch Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, children help prepare and share a community meal. Families should also provide any bottles, formula, breast milk, or other feeding supplies their child needs.
How do you handle rest and naps?
Infants follow their individual sleep rhythms as much as possible. Older children are offered a calm rest period each day, with quiet activities available for children who no longer sleep.
How do you guide children’s behavior?
We view behavior as communication. Children are guided through connection, clear expectations, respectful limits, problem-solving, and developmentally appropriate support. We do not use shame, fear, humiliation, or punishment.
How do families receive updates?
We use the Brightwheel app for routine communication, including daily updates, messages, reminders, and important program information. Families are encouraged to communicate openly about anything that may affect their child’s day.
Is Apricot Hill licensed?
Apricot Hill operates legally as a Missouri license-exempt child care program. License-exempt status is a legal classification and does not mean the program is approved, accredited, or endorsed by the state.
What happens after I submit an inquiry?
We will contact you to discuss your child’s age, schedule needs, hoped-for start date, and current availability. When the arrangement appears promising, we will invite your family to visit Apricot Hill, ask questions, and learn more about the program before making an enrollment decision.
Is there a trial period?
Yes. The first 30 calendar days of enrollment are a mutual trial period. During the trial period, either the family or Apricot Hill may end enrollment without the usual two weeks’ notice.
